TPS launches multiple-environment water quality measurement device:

“Easily testing input water or wastewater”

As the quality of water is viable for a successful cultivation, TPS created a model to help growers get insight on their water quality: the TPS Ranger Handheld, a portable water-quality measurement device.

"Our customers range across outdoor field users to indoor labs and so we wanted to make a product that could be used in both", says Ben McColl with TPS. The company is an Australian manufacturer of water measurement instruments and accessories.

An example of how the Ranger is designed to be used in different environments is that it is drop-tested, waterproof, and has a readable screen in bright sunlight or low light conditions. "All the features that make the unit suitable for outdoor use also make it practical for indoor use."

"Horticulture users can use the Ranger to test their input water or wastewater. In greenhouses, users can capture the data for their measurements and download it to their computer without any special software", Ben says. "It's also super easy to operate with a modern, uncomplicated interface."

Since the Ranger is a portable unit, it can be used in a lab or for spot checks around a facility. "We've rigorously tested and engineered the design to ensure it's ergonomic, simple, and reliable in all circumstances."
