"We are active on the Ukrainian market for five years now and work with several Universities in this country. Banks are now familiar with the Diamond software and the accuracy of the information. Mapping financial performance
If a bank decides to give a loan, it needs to have some kind of certainty, or trust in the business and its future. The financial information is often stored in different Excel documents and many growers often drown in their own huge amount of data. On top of that, these Excel documents and book keeping system are often not linked, so one can easily make retype mistakes.
In order to get a better overview of the financial situation of the company and to prevent these retyping mistakes, Diamond FMS BV developed a Financial Management Software (FMS) that will replace Excel and directly imports the information from the book keeping system. "It can map the financial performance of various companies", explains Elsman. Moreover, the software provides insight into the current and future profitability of companies, shows the liquidity development and provides insight into the financial consequences of decisions in real time. "It allows companies to manage better and faster."
Making sense
Next to having mapped the financial performance of the company, one can and should do more with the data gathered. "Companies have more and more (financial) data, but this doesn’t automatically lead to more insight." For this reason, Diamond developed DataConnect: a Business Intelligence solution that combines all relevant data sources. With just a few mouse clicks, the entrepreneur receives the desired information on his/her screen, and can right away analyse data and make reports.
The real challenge isn't to unlock more data, but to discover the interrelations. "Our software enables entrepreneurs to work with the data and gain that so-called 'FingerspitzengefĂĽhl'. With DataConnect, one can easily zoom in on any number, figure or chart and analyse and visualise the data in dynamic tables and graphics."
Affordable?
According to Elsman, Diamond can be beneficial for all companies that need book keeping and cost analysis. But is the software affordable for small growers? "Yes. There is an entry and maintenance fee and users receive free updates. We offer standard FMS packages, but we can customize it too."
The development of a DataConnect dashboard, however, is custom work only. "Our account managers will pay our clients a non-committal visit to identify your wishes and needs. After this, we will send them a customized offer."
Cooperation with Universities
As the Diamond software can be applied in many industries, they are eager to make it the standard for entrepreneurs. For this reason, they decide to cooperate with several Universities all over the world. Also in Ukraine, 5 Universities are using Diamond in their BBA/MBA program. "Last year, the first students have graduated with Diamond", says Elsman. In order to realize the project of the financial management system implementation into the educational process of the higher educational institutions of Ukraine, the team of Diamond learns the teachers how to work with Diamond. Diamond aims to extend to the cooperation with 10 Universities in 2017/2018.
Besides that, Diamond gives future young Ukrainian entrepreneurs tools and directions in innovative training-competition that simulates the process of modelling, creating and running a manufacturing business (company) close to real conditions. This training competition is called Diamond Bootcamp. The reward is an internship in Europe.
