Highlights atHishtil, Cohen, Jaldety, but also at Green Fuse and FloraNova:

Israeli companies enjoyed their new location during CAST 2017

For 6 days, California was the center of the US floriculture sector last month. FloralDaily visited all locations and made a Photo Report of the event. In the weeks that followed, we presented the highlights of the participating companies in a series of articles. Today, we will present the last edition. In this article we present the highlights of Hishtil, Cohen and Jaldety at Chisan Orchids in Los Alamos and Green Fuse Botanicals and FloraNova at Green Fuse Botanicals in Santa Paula. And as this is the last edition, we provided the links to the previous articles with the highlights of all other CAST participants.

Chisan Orchid
The Israeli breeder and young plant growers Hishtil, Jaldety and Cohen moved to a new location this year. They used to present their novelties at Pacific Plug & Liner in Watsonville, but were presenting them at Chisan Orchid Nursery in Los Alamos.

The Mertensia Martima has silver leaves that taste like an oyster, it is therefore also called the oyster plant. The leaves can be consumed fresh or cooked and later on, the plant will get blue flowers. It is one of their experimental plants that they had on display. Oxalis tuberosum Gold is a new variety in the Oxalis tuberosum series. It is a perennial herbaceous plant that overwinters as underground stem tubers. Eaten boiled, baked, fried or dried, Oca is used as a potato alternative with superb nutritious values. Funtastick Calibrachoa Cherry Tree is a new high stem, grafted, ornamental Calibrachoa.
