Dümmen Orange - Early® Pink Candy
Phlox Early® Pink Candy is a new addition to the last year introduced compact and early flowering Phlox paniculata Series of Dümmen Orange. The individual pink flowers with white stripes appear in dense groups. The new, lower-growing Phlox Early varieties are good for planting in sunny spots of flower beds as well as containers.
Kientzler - Rosa 'Wonder5'
One of the novelties on display at Kientzler is the 'Wonder5'. It is a versatile compact growing rose which is suitable as bed and balcony plant as well as traditional garden plant. The variety shows good toughness against all kinds of traditional rose diseases and flowers from June till autumn.
Ebbing-Lohaus - Eblo Apricot
Ebbing-Lohaus is specialised in the production of primula seed and young plants. At the flowertrials, loads of new varieties will be on display and the Eblo Apricot is one of them. Eblo has large flowers in soft shades of apricot, a darker eye and a bright yellow centre. As with all other varieties in the eblo series, apricot is characterised by its robust constitution and uniform habit, with all plants flowering evenly and concurrently. Its colouring makes this new cultivar highly suitable for combining with both brightly coloured as well as pastel-coloured varieties, and its versatility guarantees it as a particularly good addition to the range of large-flowered, late blooming primroses.
Elsner pac - Chocolate Pink
One of the novelties that is on display at Elsner pac is the Chocolate pink. This pelargonium is medium-strong and has a round habit. The name Chocolate Pink comes from the pink flowers and chocolate-coloured leaf zone. Furthermore, it is free and early flowering.
Endisch - XTREME Rose Splash
The XTREME Rose Splash is a bi-coloured novelty in the interspecific series XTREME. The large flowers are pink with a red eye. The structure has multi-stage ranks of small leaves, indicating a good branching habit. In cultivation, the strong growth seems to remain easily controllable – the space required is reasonable and can be calculated. Outdoors, the assets of the XTREME series are shown to have advantages: great weather resistance and a sustained impetus of growth.
Selecta One - Calibrachoa MiniFamous Double PinkMania!
The double-flowering variety MiniFamous Double Pink of Selecta one recently received the Fleuroselect gold medal 2018. The strong root system and the stable colour make the early flowering Calibrachoa a real flower wonder. MiniFamous Double Pink is suited for a production in pots and baskets
Westhoff - RiseUp Begonia
The RiseUp Begonia collection of Westhoff will be widely presented at their FlowerTrials location. The garden begonias are known for good branching, 'unstoppable flower power' in sun and shade. They have many medium sized flowers that stay facing upright in the garden. The collection contains both singles and doubles in a wide range of vibrant colors. These varieties will make good additions to hanging baskets, quart containers and combination planters.
Where are they?
The 59 FlowerTrials exhibitors can be found at 32 different locations spread over the three regions. The FlowerTrials website gives exact details on each location via the individual exhibitor pages, which also includes a map reference. Relative locations and routes between exhibitors can be planned using the online maps.
Photo Report
Together with our colleagues of bpnieuws.nl we will visit the FlowerTrials 2017. We will try to visit all of the companies, but will probably not be able to manage it. Therefore, we invite you to send in some nice pictures of interesting encounters. Then, we can publish an extensive Photo Report to get a clear picture of the pot and bedding plant sector.
