"The Pelargonium is timeless"

"The Pelargonium is timeless." According to Ursula Key-Davis from Fibrex Nursery in Warwickshire, United Kingdom, the Pelargonium is and will probably remain a popular plant all over the world. "It always has been a popular bedding plant. It is a very long-lasting plant and this is valued by the customers."

As the Pelargonium is a popular plant for the customers, it consequently is a popular plant to grow. In order to stand out, Fibrex Nursery grows many different and exclusive Pelargonium varieties. Currently, they hold the National Collection of Pelargoniums, which means that they have the largest collection of Pelargoniums. "Our National Pelargonium Collection, contains over 2,000 different species and cultivars" says Ursula. They also hold the National Collection of Hedera. This collection consists of over 354 different types, with the majority being from the Hedera helix family."

Fibrex Nursery is a family business and was established by the parents of Ursula, Hazel & Dick Key, in 1958. The company grew rapidly to the point where their three children, Richard, Ursula and Angela joined and eventually took over the company. They expanded the company and broadened the assortment with Hederas, Ferns and Begonias afterwards. Their plants are being exported throughout Europe.
