ONfloriculture blog

New blog for growers interested in IPM

“There’s a new resource for growers interested in integrated pest management (IPM) of insect and disease pests in greenhouse floriculture crops.

The ONfloriculture blog (ONfloriculture.wordpress.com) went live on April 14th. The goal of this blog is to pass on important technical information to flower growers and pest management consultants as fast as possible. Some information will be Ontario-specific, but much of it will be pertinent to greenhouse floriculture IPM world-wide. Topics will include emerging pests in floriculture crops, new strategies in insect and pathogen IPM, new product registrations/label expansions, and the latest in IPM research.

Contributing to the blog is Dr. Sarah Jandricic, the Greenhouse Floriculture IPM Specialist for Ontario, Canada (through the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs). Sarah has over 12 years of experience in floriculture IPM research, and has collaborated with growers, researchers and other industry leaders in Ontario, New York State, and North Carolina. Various industry specialists will also contribute regularly. “
