Last month, another edition of the Japanese Flower Selections (JFS) was held. The JFS aim is to award world’s best varieties and improve the Japanese customer’s experience by recommending them which products to buy. "These are one of the most competitive awards for the Japanese market in our industry and subsidized by the Japanese Ministry of Agriculture."
A great product needs to satisfy the needs of the Japanese market and must certainly be beautiful and have great characteristics, such as long shelf-life. Companies can nominate their products seasonally and Fides was very pleased when one of their agents, Hakusan Co. Ltd, nominated the Kalanchoe Sublime Piton as one of the candidates for this season’s awards. They are even more delighted to announce that Piton took home two awards: Best Flower and Color Create, the latter being the award for the most promising and innovative trend-setter color-wise.
In the end of the year, after the same award show will be held for autumn products such as Poinsettia, Piton will run for the Japanese Flower of the Year award! If you would like to know more about Piton, please visit www.specialkalanchoes.com/piton.
