German symposium for bedding plants will showcase 900 new varieties

Thursday July 9, a German symposium for bedding plants will take place at the Bavarian State Institute for Viticulture and Horticulture Veitshöchheim (LWG Veitshöchheim) in Veitshöchheim, Germany.
 
"Perspectives
" is the motto of this year's symposium. The morning lectures are about biological plant protection, LED lighting and innovations in the cultivation of bedding plants. Furthermore, they will take a look at creating value by appreciating the value of plants and the they will take a glance at the gardeners of the future.

About 30 breeders and seedlings companies will present their new bedding plants and new products for the 2016 season. Furthermore, the bedding plant trials with more than 900 new varieties can be visited. The focus of this year will be on geraniums, begonias, carnations, bee-friendly summer potted plants, and more.
