In mid-April Kebol started harvesting our fresh Brasbonitas® Amaryllis bulbs in Brazil. The first results look very good. The bulbs are healthy and the content of the bulb is good. The processing rate is high: 100,000 bulbs per day; so many hands are needed to harvest the Amaryllis bulbs, inspect and sort them. If the weather continues to be kind to them, they should be able to maintain this tempo and the harvesting and processing will be completed on schedule in mid-July.
The first containers are already en route to the Netherlands for further preparation of the bulbs. They will be receiving the bulbs at our current location at Delfweg 37 in Noordwijkerhout and start the processing there. From mid-July onwards they expect to move the preparation and production of Amaryllis bulbs to our new location at Rijshornstraat 209 in Rijsenhout. Our new premises will provide the best conditions for inspection and storage.
If you are interested in viewing our full range of Brasbonitas ® Amaryllis bulbs, take a look at Kebols .
