An impression of the Dutch Lily Days

Last week, the Dutch bulb exporters opened their doors for the general public. Especially for the Dutch Llily Days, they have tried to force all their lily varieties to flower. Then, the visitors can get an impression of the existing assortment and are able to compare the suppliers.

In this fifth edition, 16 companies participated. This year, the Dutch Lily Days were held a week later than last year. This offered the exporters the possibility to force their Orientals to flower. Orientals are lilies from a specific group that flower later than other lilies. Besides that, they could make a link with the FlowerTrials, that are taking place this week.

Our colleagues of www.bpnieuws.nl went to a demo greenhouse of two of the largest exporters from The Netherlands: Onings Holland Flowerbulbs and Van den Bos Flowerbulbs. Below is an impression of the Lilies.
