Royal Brinkman to begin operations in Australia

In substantiation of the general motto “Local for Local”, Royal Brinkman is currently following up on its plans to establish a local organisation in Australia. The intensification of its Australian operations follows the company’s ambitions for international expansion. Brinkman Australia Pty Ltd is set to be launched as from 1 July 2015.

General manager for Royal Brinkman Australia, Job Roskam (3rd from left), points towards the location of the company’s 13th subsidiary abroad.

Royal Brinkman has been active on the Australian market for over 25 years. Until now, both sales and distribution were coordinated from the company’s head office in ‘s Gravenzande in the Netherlands. Having enjoyed elaborate partnerships with Roskam Young Plants (various trade goods) and Faber Greenhouses (turnkey projects) over the past four years, Royal Brinkman decided to open a location of its own in Australia in order to expedite supply and the provision of services for its customers. Job Roskam has been appointed as general manager for Brinkman Australia Pty Ltd in Melbourne, Victoria.

In the months to come, the range and stocks of Royal Brinkman products in Melbourne will be expanded, and the company’s local presence means that the level of service is set to increase. The company’s new head office in Melbourne will serve as a centralised organisation by means of which a network of dealers will be able to serve other regions in Australia and New Zealand. Those dealers are located in Perth, Adelaide, Sydney, Brisbane (Australia) and Pukekohe (New Zealand).

Royal Brinkman Australia is the organisation’s 13th subsidiary abroad, the other subsidiaries being in Germany, Belgium, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, England, Spain, France, Turkey and Mexico. The first official presentation of Royal Brinkman in Australia is set to take place between 5-8 July 2015, at the Australian PCA Conference 2015 trade fair in Gold Coast, Australia.

With the opening of Royal Brinkman Australia, the company marks a new chapter in its 130-year history in international horticulture.
