Canada (AB): HortSnacks in the Field

HortSnacks in the field will be touring Erdmann’s Gardens and Greenhouses in Vimy, Canada, on July 21, 2015.

“Ron and Wendy Erdmann and their family have been growing vegetables for over 30 years in Westlock County,” says Dustin Morton, commercial horticulture specialist, Alberta Agriculture and Forestry (AF), Stettler. “At the event, Ron will be discussing their Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program and their cooperation with AF’s current horticultural pest surveillance project.”

Things get under way at 5:30 p.m. and a light supper will be provided. To register, call +1-800-387-6030. If the weather is poor, the event will be rescheduled to July 28.

Funding for this event is provided through Growing Forward 2, a federal-provincial-territorial initiative.
