Pilot project minimum prices for gerberas

Germany: Expansion experiment with minimum price at Veiling Rhein-Maas

After a consultation with the leaders, the focus group leaders (Fachbeirat), and the buyer's commission, the pilot project minimum prices for gerberas will be expanded at Veiling Rhein-Maas. The gerbera will be the first product in the cut flowers sector, to which a minimum price will be applied.

As of June 29th the minimum prices at the wholesale and small-flowered gerberas will be increased. Also the minimum prices of potted plants (including Pelargonium and perennials as well as Argyranthemum and Lavender) were increased as part of a pilot project and resulted in positive reactions.

The new procedure was discussed with the supliers of gerberas in a product meeting, earlier this year.

For questions please contact assortment manager Nico Pubben.
