UK: APL members at RHS Hampton 2015

Members of the Association of Professional Landscapers (APL) group are celebrating their success once again at this year’s RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show which takes place this week (30 June - 5 July).

APL’s success continued this year at Hampton Court with an impressive accolade of Best in Show, Best World Garden, four Gold medals, seven Silver-Gilt medals, one Silver medal and two Bronze medals, taking their tally to 40 medals over the past four years of the show.

RDC Landscape and Construction, sponsored by Hadlow College and Betteshanger Sustainable Parks, won Best in Show and Gold for their build of the 'Green Seam' garden, designed by Stuart Charles Towner and Bethany Williams. Hadlow College is one of the UK’s leading land-based colleges, and Betteshanger Sustainable Parks are a major £40 million economic and social regeneration project, including green technologies and sustainable business and commerce, supported by world class research and development and education options.

Landform Consultants, headed by APL chairman Mark Gregory, won Best World Garden and Gold for their build of the ‘Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism Garden of Paradise’ garden, which was designed by Nilufer Danis of Lotus Design Studio. Influenced by early Turkish Islamic Gardens of the 10th century, this lavish and evocative garden features traditional Islamic elements including strong geometric architecture, a pavillion to provide shade, and fountains and rills for cooling water.
