2015 Canadian Greenhouse Conference “Where Ideas Come to Life”

The Canadian Greenhouse Conference includes a comprehensive speakers program with two full days of sessions aimed at equipping growers with information necessary to thrive in today’s marketplace. In addition to workshops, production, pest management, energy and labour sessions, there is a complete day of sessions targeted to retail garden centre grower-operators.

John Scott, former chair of the Vineland Research and Innovation Centre kicks off the Garden Centre sessions with “When Science doesn’t matter - the consumer drives the agenda”. This interesting presentation will provide help in dealing with customers who arrive at your premises with information gleaned from websites and social media in regards to pollinators, pesticides and other hot button issues.

Located in Regina, Dutch Growers Home & Garden is a multi-award winning business and steering its marketing and advertising department is co-owner, Karen van Duyvendyk who was honoured last year by Greenhouse Canada’s Top 10 Under 40. “Your business has all the right elements to successfully host community minded events while creating additional publicity and revenue for your store”. Learn from Karen’s experience in Greenhouse Groove - How to Throw a Party that Pays.

Rounding out the Garden Centre program is valuable perennial production advice from Paul Pilon, Perennial Solutions Consulting and another Greenhouse Canada Top 10 honoree, Gary Lewis, from Phoenix Perennials, who brings his popular presentation, Hot New Plants.

Plan now to attend the 2015 Canadian Greenhouse Conference and make the CGC a vital part of your business plan. Visit the website for complete conference details. www.CanadianGreenhouseConference.com
