UK: AHDB Horticulture partners with UK Grower Awards

AHDB Horticulture has partnered with the UK Grower Awards to encourage growers within the horticulture industry to nominate their businesses for an award.

The Awards are organised by HorticultureWeek, and are the longest standing and most sought after in the industry. If growers haven't already thought about entering then they should do so quickly - the deadline of 1st October is fast approaching. With the growing interest from supermarkets to sell UK fruit, vegetables and flowers, the Awards are the perfect opportunity for growers to raise their profile, boost brand awareness and most importantly, prove the quality of their produce to the industry. The awards has a varied range of categories including expanded fruit categories along with ornamental including specialist crop categories and lots of vegetable category options so there is plenty for the entire industry to get involved with.

The entry process is quick and easy, growers simply need to supply a 100 word statement about their produce and a testimonial to support. If successful they will be taken through to a second stage with a more detailed application stage.

All entries into the Awards are judged by a panel of independent industry leaders, making the UK Grower Awards results transparent and most importantly FAIR; this is no popularity competition. The UK Grower Awards truly reward the best in British Horticulture and the recognition from awards provides growers with endless benefits, including raising your profile with your key audience.

Entry Deadline 1st October 2015. Learn more at thegrowerawards.co.uk
