Per Benjamin performs at Nordic Flower Expo 2016

The organisers of the green trade show, the Nordic Flower Expo, have approached Per Benjamin to take part in the side program of the show: the floral demonstrations. The worldwide well-known floral designer will be present on the 16th of March to inspire in the first place florists with his views on floral design. The expo’s second edition will be held from 15 to 17 March 2016, in the MalmöMässan in Malmö, Sweden.

During the first edition of the Nordic Flower Expo in 2015, more than 140 companies from 10 different countries participated and approximately 2,500 professionals visited the exhibition. The quality of the visitors was rated as very high; a great number of prominent Scandinavian retailers were present.

Per Benjamin

Especially for the florists, there will be the possibility of getting inspiration and tips & tricks from world famous Swedish floral designer Per Benjamin. This 2002 world cup winner will share his views on floral design by arranging flowers and plants on Wednesday the 16th of March. Per Benjamin is not only a florist but also a teacher and coach, part of designers trio ‘Life3’ and owner of Benjamin’s Botaniska and Floristisk Coaching. He travels the world doing workshops, demonstrations and educational programs in more than 80 countries. Last but not least, he has published 17 books. ”My driving force is my curiosity," says Per, "my curiosity towards life, people, emotions and, of course, flowers. To be able to assume new challenges every day, in fulfilling my customers' needs, in finding new ways to work and to see new possibilities in the everyday material we work with.” For Per, the challenge is not to find the most beautiful and rare flowers, but to find new ways to use the ordinary ones and show their beauty.

Stable and potential market

The Nordic region is a stable and large potential market for all players in the value chain; from growers to consumers: everyone has their eyes on the Northern part of Europe. The region is stable, has a high GDP, low unemployment and household capita is among the highest in Europe and even the world.

The Expo

That is why many companies show (renewed) interest in taking part in using this unique platform to enter the Nordic markets. The organisers expect therefore a solid growth for the next edition. It is the first trade exhibition that exclusively focuses on the entire Nordic region and the Baltics. The exhibition has the support of her ambassadors: the VGB (The Association of Wholesale Trade in Horticultural Products in The Netherlands), Flora Dania (Danish Ornamental Plants) and Florint International (International Florist Association).
