Netherlands: Next generation climate control for chrysanthemum

Wageningen UR Greenhouse Horticulture tested a combination of an air handling unit and an additional screen installation at the chrysanthemums nursery Arcadia.

With this air handling unit the humidity turned out to be controlled very accurately, which provided the opportunity to use less heat and to incrementally accept a higher RV. The combination with an extra screen installation implied 30% less use of heat compared to the adjacent reference site.
