Senegal has became Ethiopia's export destination for flower and other semi-processed products, according to Ethiopian Ambassador to Senegal Hassen Abdulkadir.
Ambassador Hassen told Ethiopian News Agency (ENA) that the export of cut flowers is in progress while activities are underway to expand export items.
Ethiopia will also export leather and leather products and coffee, the Ambassador noted. Currently, negotiations are being held to facilitate the export of Ethiopian coffee to Senegal, Hassen said.
Senegal used to import Ethiopia’s flower from the Netherlands, yet the latest initiative enables Senegal to directly get cut flowers from Ethiopia, according to the Ambassador.
