Japan: Ishiguro changes to Inochio

The Japanese Ishiguro group changes its company name and corporate brand to the Inochio Group.

Ishiguro Group

The Ishiguro Group is a well-known group of companies in Japan which specializes in agriculture and horticulture supplies and services. Since its foundation as a pharmacy by Rihei Ishiguro in 1909, the group has grown with local customers and stakeholders to become one of the leading companies in the agricultural industry.

Inochio Group

As of 1st of October 2015, Ishiguro Group renews its corporate brand with new company names and images. Ishiguro Group changes to Inochio Group. Mr. Isao Ishiguro, CEO of the group explains “The new name Inochio comes from a Japanese word “Inochi” meaning “life”, because ever since our company was born, we have always believed that agriculture is one of the oldest and fundamental jobs which was originally created to cultivate “life”. We wanted to bring the message in our company name by wishing that each of our employees sincerely cares, cultivates and connects agriculture and lives to the future. With this reorganization, the group can react more quickly and efficiently to recent change in circumstances surrounding the Japanese and world agricultural industry and expand our businesses.”
Although the name of the founder Ishiguro is no longer used, the Ishiguro family will stay as major shareholders and management of the Inochio Group.
