Veiling Rhein-Maas visits growers in autumn

Autumn is the quietest time of the year for import plants, with only a few growers auctioning their products and most of them waiting until the year’s end, when indoor plants, such as howea and citrus, are in season.

This is the time of year that Veiling Rhein-Maas visits growers in Italy and Spain. In October, they took a business trip to Latina and have planned a trip to Sicily in November. There is also a trip to Valencia and Murcia planned for the beginning of December, during these trips they will speak with growers about the previous season’s results, check production for the coming season and make plans for 2016. By doing so, they will gain insight into the products and quantities growers will supply to Veiling Rhein-Maas, and they can guarantee a good assortment of quality import plants for their customers.
