Auditors from Kenya Flower Council (KFC) trained at DLV GreenQ

Kenya Flower Council (KFC) is the most important organisation to promote the economic, social and political interests of the floriculture industry in Kenya. Part of their activities is the certification of farms by set standards. Growing to the next level, six KFC auditors were trained at DLV Plant GreenQ on mitigation of risks of pests and disease in roses and other crops, production of clean plant material and other aspects related to hygiene.

Implementation of advanced international standards for certification were also discussed and phytosanitary topics addressed. The final day was spent at the FloraHolland Trade Fair in Aalsmeer and IFTF in Vijfhuizen. The training is part of a project financed by Nuffic (Dutch government) that is executed by DLV GreenQ.

The KFC staff visited Florensis to learn about their procedures from Quality Assurance manager Hans Goudswaard
