Colombia: Asocolflores presented its second Sustainability Report

The Corporate Transparency Program conclusions, and the 2nd issue of the Asocolflores 2014 Sustainability Report were presented by Asocolflores at Proflora 2015 in the presence of the Dutch Ambassador Robert Van Embden, Chief Executive of GRI and Head of Focal Point Colombia, Andrea Pradilla, and the President of Asocolflores, Augusto Solano.
 

This report focus on Colombia (and Asocolflores in its capacity as the umbrella organization), allowed 39 flower-growing companies to benefit from the Asocolflores Sustainability Report, as well as boost their own capacities for generating their own reports.
 
Key efforts, like Global Reporting Initiative’s – GRI, encouraging the use of Sustainability Reports to move companies toward contributing to sustainable development were touched on. The floriculture trade association, Asocolflores also reiterated that their full commitment to both socio-economic and socio-environmental endeavors steered by UN Global Pact principals continues to be funneled toward fostering jobs, well-being and wealth across the nation.
