There is a festive atmosphere at LG Flowers: its new office at the main premises in Pijnacker opened on Monday 23 November.
The new, colourful front
The purpose of the renovation is two-folded. The Company Managing Director, Mike Lansbergen explains, “On the one hand LG Flowers is growing and the old offices became too small. In addition it was high time we professionalised our appearance. We think that the trade is increasingly going back to nature, while formerly, you often had to drive to the auction to drink a cup of coffee with your customers. To grow and to improve your position on the market, you can either grow physically or spend more time with your customer on a professional level. The first was not necessary: enough greenhouses and produce. But with regard to the second point there was much to be gained. With regards to that we took a large leap by building our new office.”
Inside many changes have been made: "Once the old office and canteen are gone, we can look inside the greenhouse from the office."
Although the office is finished, for the time being the rubbish has not yet been cleared. The old office boxes need to be broken down, which will create more space. The new floor must harden before it can be coated. “When everything is finished, we will think about a festive opening.”
"Perhaps the nicest corner of the new office: the balcony. Late - summer when the sun was shining, we tested the spot: it was relaxing!"
In the new office we also built in a showroom, where we can show all our varieties, our whole range and test different aspects.
