"Netherlands: "A good ‘mixed box’ during the entire season is our goal"

The cymbidiums of Gebr. Bac Cymbidium are cultivated at three plantations in Moerkapelle, the Netherlands. The 3 locations counts a total surface of 4.2 hectares. Nearly 100 different cymbidiums are bred there. Out of the 12 months of the year, there are 3 months in which the cymbidium plant blossoms.

"We therefore breed the cymbidium plants in closed divisions different from each other. Because of this we are able to deliver the whole year. Under the header “products”, you can look at all of our different products. You can select the period when it blossoms. The cymbidiums are in mixed packs mostly, which means 5 or 6 different colors per mixed box (green, yellow, pink, white, brown, red). Next to mixed boxes we also cultivate boxes with 1 species of cymbidium. The making of a good ‘mixed box’ during the entire season is our goal."
