Design your greenhouse online and get free growing advice
What crop do you grow? What irrigation system do you use, what climate and energy controls have been integrated? By answering these questions with Hoogendoorn's new online tool ‘The Next Growers’ growers can create their current or future greenhouse online. While doing so, they’ll receive tips and advice. “We wanted it to be useful and fun,” explains Hoogendoorn’s Maha Benachir, who developed the tool. “To give valuable advice, we need to specify the unique and specific circumstances of each greenhouse and grower. By doing so, we can give relevant information. But we also wanted to make something fun – that’s why we combined it with the visualisations and the animated movie.”
The tool was launched yesterday at Fruit Logistica. Visitors can experience the online tool in Berlin during the exhibition, but growers from all over the world can create their greenhouse online at www.thenextgrower.com.
