Spectacular blooming park in Japan

Every April the Hitachi Seaside Park is magically transformed, with the rolling hills changing from green into a vivid sea of blue. Visitors flock to the park to see around 4.5 million 'baby blue eye flowers' blanketing the ground.

The public park is situated in the city of Hitachinaka in the Ibaraki Prefecture, less than two hours from Tokyo. Locals know the blooming as the 'Nemophila Harmony' after the baby-blue nemophila flower, which is also known as baby blue eyes.
