Tree grower maps its plots with drone

Jerphaas Rustenhoven of tree nursery Huverba in Opheusden mapped 140 hectares of land with a drone last Monday. "As far as I know, we are the first and only nursery to use a drone in this way."

After the drone has done its job, GPS coordinates and usage data are ‘pasted’ in Google Maps using an ingenious computer program. Another advantage is that you can easily see which plots still have to be planted.
