In 1992, Dutch grower Duynplant started with the cultivation of the Yucca. In 1995 the company introduced the Zamioculcas to its assortment. Being one of the first to professionally grow this tropical plant, they contributed to a broadening of the assortment of greenhouse plants. More than that, they contributed to the popularity of Zamioculcas in particular.
At the nursery in Honselersdijk, in the Westland area in the Netherlands, the Zamioculcas are grown in various pot sizes. 500,000 plants are produced here on an annual basis. According to the grower, one of the reasons for the popularity of the plant is the fact that it is easy to take care of.
