During its yearly BBQ, breeder and propagator of calla lilies, Sande Calla Supply welcomed a special guest for a special reason. Dutch comedian Karin Bloemen (which funnily enough translates to Karin Flowers) came by to name a new Zantedeschia variety. Because of her work for the Dreamcatcher Foundation, a NGO fighting poverty in South-Africa, the flower was named Karin's Dreamcatcher.

After having the honor of naming the new variety, Bloemen presented the Sande Bokaal to Gebr. Duineveld. This cup is presented yearly to 'the best bulb producer of the year', thereby leaving the competition behind.
From today until the end of the week, Sande will presents its calla assortiment in their showroom (see address below). Please feel free to come by!
