Midwest native trees and shrubs in the greenhouse

Great Plains Nursery is a family owned business located near Weston, Nebraska. Owners, Brian and Heather Byers have a passion for growing and planting Nebraska native trees and all trees alike. They feel a strong sense of stewardship and ecology when it comes to the environment.

As a specialty nursery, they focus on growing plants that are native or especially suited to the Midwest climate. Survival in nature requires genetic diversity & adaptability to environmental changes. With this in mind, they start their trees from seed collected from local provenances throughout the Great Plains.

They recorded a time lapse video of Midwest native trees and shrubs in the greenhouse. All plants are grown in RootMaker production trays. And good to know: "No trees were harmed in the making of this video."
