Terra Nova Nurseries introduces catalog
The breeder-focused product-selection guide offers easy access to organized genera grouped alphabetically, but also now by size, color, habit, top-sellers, photography, newest varieties, and USDA horticultural zones.
“While grouping plants in our new catalog by use and traits, followed by color, is a departure from the standard A-Z layout to which perennial customers have become accustomed, the new style is based upon Terra Nova Nurseries’ objective of being a leading, progressive and customer-responsive breeder,” says Nathan Lamkey, director of sales and marketing / assistant general manager for Terra Nova Nurseries.
The enhanced catalog includes sections for each genus, such as echinaceas that are grouped as singles or doubles; categorized by short, medium and tall; and subsequently ordered by color. With a consistent layout, the catalog allows for simplified access to all the facts, photos and insights needed for grower-customers to make informed purchasing decisions.
Personal touches have been included throughout the catalog on the part of Terra Nova Nurseries’ breeders, featuring descriptive page tabs; color coding of plant options; substantially increased photo sizes, averaging 20% augmented images; and the added ease-of-use feature of perennials and annuals being separately displayed. Product and program selections have also been simplified in the new catalog by breaking down each program into quart, gallon and other preferred sizes.
The catalog incorporates details of more than 35 new varieties for 2016-2017, which include selections of coreopsis, echinacea, heuchera, heucherella, geum, kniphofia, lithodora, pulmonaria, tiarella, veronica, begonia, and coleus.
“Our ongoing goal involves conceptualizing and executing informational marketing on the same high level of innovation as our breeding,” says Lamkey.
