FORMiT was named new product of the year at Cultivate '16 in Columbus, OH. Jiffy's R&D department worked with the Marketing and Sales departments coming up with the ‘in-nursery’ plug making concept.
Dagfinn Andersen accepting award on behalf of Jiffy
Jiffy's R&D department set out to assist growers by providing in-house production options, leading to the development of FORMiT. FORMiT is a loose fill substrate that becomes stabilized in the plug tray with the simple application of water, fitting any existing flat-filling equipment. FORMiT provides plug integrity, ensuring non interruption of plant growth by not disturbing the roots, allowing mechanical transplanting of delicate varieties, and reducing the use of growth regulators.
