From 1 October 2016, Gerhard van der Bijl will take up his appointment as CIO (ICT Concern manager) at Royal FloraHolland. Gerhard is currently still working at Wehkamp as the Technology and Platform Development manager.

Steven van Schilfgaarde (CFO) said, "Gerhard has extensive knowledge and experience in the field of digital strategy. This is an essential contribution to strengthen Royal FloraHolland as a powerful player in the international horticultural business and to realise the objectives of Royal FloraHolland 2020. In addition, Gerhard will be responsible for the transition to a new ICT organisation and the ICT operation."
