Expansion list of Xylella-hosts

Recently contaminations with Xylella fastidiosa were found in crops on which the disease was never found before in South-Italy, Southeast France and on Corsica. This means that for these ‘new’ hosts now also a plant passport is required. For the release for free circulation of these crops as of August 1, 2016 a plant passport required and will be checked on.

The addition of these to the existing list of hosts

These are the new crops on the list of Xylella-hosts as per august 1, 2016:
  • Calicotome villosa
  • Cytisus scoparius
  • Eremophila maculata
  • Genista corsica
  • Helichrysum italicum
  • Lavandula x allardii (= Lavandula x heterophylla)
  • Phillyrea latifolia
