Recently contaminations with Xylella fastidiosa were found in crops on which the disease was never found before in South-Italy, Southeast France and on Corsica. This means that for these ‘new’ hosts now also a plant passport is required. For the release for free circulation of these crops as of August 1, 2016 a plant passport required and will be checked on.
The addition of these to the existing list of hostsThese are the new crops on the list of Xylella-hosts as per august 1, 2016:
- Calicotome villosa
- Cytisus scoparius
- Eremophila maculata
- Genista corsica
- Helichrysum italicum
- Lavandula x allardii (= Lavandula x heterophylla)
- Phillyrea latifolia
