The PlantHaven 2016 trials feature 148+ experimental candidates, in 38 genera from 31 different breeder clients. There will be an array of varieties from woodies, grasses, tropicals and annuals.
Special attention has been paid this year to lower water use selections for the Watersaver program. Candidates for evaluation include some new Australian native selections, new Salvia and Isotoma breeding.
The trials are grown under nursery conditions in standard 1 gallon containers, with 2 Gallon specimens plus new in-ground beds. The trials offer an opportunity to evaluate new varieties in a commercial setting.
