India: Heavy rains hit floriculture sector in Shimla

Heavy rain in northern India has hit the floriculturists in Shimla. The farmers in Sairy and Jubbarhati area are disappointed as their flowers are not getting good prices. The farmers are also facing transportation problems. One bunch of flowers for which they generally get over 100 rupees is now being sold at just Rs 30.
