A quarter of the commercial professional visitors of Plantarium 2016 came from abroad. In total, Plantarium attracted 16,100 visitors. That is about 1,000 less than previous years. Professional visitor numbers show a slight drop at 10,600, which is about the same as two years ago, when 10,650 professional visitors came to the trade fair.
Out of those commercial professional visitors, 2,600 came from abroad, the same as last year. These visitors came from 49 different countries.
Most visitors from Germany
The largest number of professional visitors came from Germany (26%), Belgium came second (14%) and Italy third (10%). France came fourth (9%), the United Kingdom fifth (8%) and Poland sixth (5%). They were followed by Denmark (3%), Sweden, Ireland, China and USA with 2.5% each. Other (15%).
Position and type of business
The professional visitors of Plantarium 2016 can be subdivided into owners (54%), members of staff (31%) and purchasers (15%). The division into type of business, where professional visitors are employed, gives the following picture:

Plantarium 2016 was visited by 5,550 non-commercial professional visitors (not registered as such). Last year, that figure was 6,245. On Saturday, the trade fair was visited by approximately 2,300 Groei & Bloei members, compared to 3,000 last year.
