Texas A&M lecture looks at the future of flowers
The lecture Sept. 12 begins with a 2 p.m. reception for Daly, Smithers-Oasis Floralife vice president in Walterboro, South Carolina, followed by his presentation at 3 p.m. The public is invited to the free event in the Horticulture and Forest Science Building at Texas A&M University, College Station.
Daly oversees the Smithers-Oasis research departments and leads global operations for postharvest care and handling under the Floralife division, according to Dr. Charlie Hall, Ellison Chair in International Floriculture at Texas A&M.
Daly has a master’s degree in biochemistry from Illinois Institute of Technology and a master’s in business administration from New York Institute of Technology. He is active in the Society of American Florists.
