Dutch based ErfGoed, supplier of cultivation floors, opens subsidiaries in Canada. According to Hugo Paans, ErfGoed’s General Manager, it is a logical next step in the company's growth. ‘’For more than four years, our company is active in Canada and in the United States of America. A growing number of nurseries have been running their plant production on our ErfGoedFloor. And we still face an increasing demand for our growth solution in this part of the world’’.
One of ErfGoed’s strategic customers is Rainbow Greenhouses, with locations in British Columbia and Alberta. Head Grower Rob O’Heara says the ErfGoedFloor is the ultimate growth solution. ‘’The ErfGoedFloor ensures an ideal climate. The gravel layer in the floor can be seen as the air conditioner for the plant roots. Drop outs in our production are found rarely. For every grower it’s a challenge to grow strong and healthy plants. That’s the backbone for our business. This requires an environment which takes away any kind of stress the plants may suffer from. The ErfGoedFloor does certainly create this environment’’.
Two subsidiaries
Although ErfGoed Canada is officially located in Ontario, the company also operates from its location in British Columbia. Paans: ’’We run our business in Canada from two locations, which enables us to serve our customers in Canada and North America quickly and efficiently. Both locations house a modern and well equipped machine park and store our products and materials. This makes our flexibility even stronger’’.
