Growing use of coco coir blocks requires debaling machine

The use of coco coir as a substitute for peat is increasing in the Horticultural and Agricultural business. Some refer to this product as coconut coir, coir pith or coco peat. Due to the importance of shipping costs the coir is compressed into blocks. The Coco Block Debaler has been developed to help entrepreneurs bring back the compressed coco coir blocks to the original volume, so that the material is ready for use and/or production.



How it works
The use of coco coir is continuously growing in the horticulture and agriculture business as a growing media. However, due the shipping costs the coco coir is compressed into blocks. But as you can imagine; this is not the desired shape for use and/or production. The Coco Block Debaler brings the solution for this challenge; the machine will gently debale the blocks apart with minimum damage to the fibres. When debaled, water will be added so the coco coir changes back into a voluminous product.



The water consumption can be set on the moisture content that is required for the concerning process. With this the user can determine the moisture content to a level that he prefers for the use of the coco coir.

Big or small users
To fulfil the wishes of big to small coco coir users Apollo ISC has developed 3 types of Coco Block Debalers.
  • The CBD5, with a capacity of up to one pallet per hour
  • The CBD10, with a capacity of up to two pallets per hour
  • The CBD60, with a capacity of up to five pallets per hour
Complete your product line
To work even more efficiently, the Coco Block Loader can be added to the Coco Block Debaler. With the Coco Block Loader you can have the CBD5 and the CBD10 as a semi-automatic operating system. This will reduce the labour costs. Other options as a fully Pallet loading system is also one of the options.



The Coco Block Debalers can be combined with a Coco Buffer Dose Unit. The Coco Buffer Dose Unit is a precise optimal dosing system, that allows you to save up to 80% of buffer agent, be 100% water efficient and reduce the amount of water used by 30%, compared to traditional buffering method. As a result you obtain coir that meets the generally accepted quality standards, while saving your costs, natural resources and preventing water and soil contamination.
