Grombein Naturgrünhandel GmbH is one of FleuraMetz’ specialists when it comes to Christmas greens and wreaths. Based in the German province, Rijnland-Palts, this grower produces and sells over 350,000 seasonal wreaths every year. The grower smiles modestly when asked about the power behind his wreaths. “A large portion of our Christmas greenery comes from Eifel and its surrounding area. Here, they grow lush, green Nobilis and Nordmann ferns.”
Standing out from the crowd
The wreaths are made from wild greens as well as homegrown foliage. “This allows us to offer fresh products around the clock. We also take pride in our flexibility. We supply fully decorated wreaths as well as straw rings to customers who like to base their own wreaths. Some customers are looking for fancy wreaths, others for more classic varieties. We also supply to professionals, who want to stand out from the crowd. As we make all our artisan wreaths ourselves, we have no problem targeting customer demands.”
Flexibility
Grombein is also very flexible when it comes to transport. “All our trucks are equipped with tail-lifts and fork-lift trucks. We have a solution to every delivery challenge.” He also proudly acknowledges: “Whether people are ordering truckloads of wreaths or just a single bag of potting soil, they still receive the same service from us.”
Professional
FleuraMetz buyer Jack de Koning concurs: “It’s the powerful combination of freedom of choice, strong quality wreaths and valuable, personal contact that makes Grombein the perfect Preferred Supplier. Every professional in our industry, from garden centre to florist, can knock on their door.” It’s not limited to just Christmas if you ask him. “It is an incredible versatile product. Think of using them for Summer feasts or Easter. They also supply beautiful funeral wreaths.”
Curly willow
There is more on Dirk Grombein’s mind than just wreaths. All the different trees on their premises get his full attention. “We incorporate them into our wreaths and it allows us to offer more than your run of the mill range. Blue berry for example, or pliable birch, curly willow even. These are multi-purposed goods. What the market wants and how to tap into current trends is where FleuraMetz comes in. Now that’s what I call successful together!”
