CNB New Plants, part of the Cooperative Dutch Flower Bulb Center, has recently entered into an agreement with Ashiro Rindo (Gentians). The agreement involves the testing and getting on the market of a new range of pot gentians by CNB New Plants.
Ashiro Rindo was represented by breeder Dr. Takashi Takagi, who is also the director of Hachimantai City Floricultural Research and Development Center. A meeting was organised at the Hachimantai city hall. In the presence of the mayor of Hachimantai, Mr Tamura, Lyall Fields (Green Harvest Pascific Ltd), and Ron Hoogeveen (CNB New Plants) and the Japanese press, the signatures were scribbled.
Ron Hoogeveen: “It is a privilege to be able to work with Ashiro Rindo's breeder. The new Ashiro Rindo range of pot gentians is a fantastic innovation of the current product range. There are a few that are real chart toppers. The expectations are high, and in the next few years we will add a few beautiful new colors to the compact gentian range.”
