NL: An impression of the Westland region in one minute

Want to get an impression of the Dutch region that is know for its horticulture that is grown in greenhouses? Then, take a look at the video below. VHV Tours, visited a chrysanthemum grower, a wrapping station and a phalaenopsis grower in the Westland region and made a nice one minute video.



Firstly, they visited LMC Chrysanthemums. On 9 ha, 25,000 flowers are being cultivated per year. The growing time of the flower is 9 to 11 weeks and 20 people are working in the greenhouse. Then, the processes of wrapping tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers is filmed at one of world's largest wrapping stations Greenpack. Finally, a glimpse in the greenhouse and processing area of phalaenopsis grower Ter Laak Orchids is given. In this greenhouse, 6,000,000 plants are grown per year and they employ 140 people.
