The Floral Agency and The Wunderkammer will be responsible for the realisation of the floral presentation in the ‘Blumenhalle’ during the International Green Week (IGW). This international green event, with some 400.000 visitors each year, takes place from 20 till 29 January 2017 in the Messe, Berlin. The ‘Blumenhalle’ is a showpiece at the fair and attracts a lot of visitors. By choosing the winning design the organizers of the fair are looking for a stylish translation of this year’s theme “Paradise is everywhere” with beautiful flowers and plants.
Blumenhalle
One of the numerous halls of the exhibition is called the ‘Blumenhalle’ and has been of great importance to the Messe Berlin for years. Every year there is a different theme and this year the theme “Paradise is everywhere” has been chosen because of the year of Luther, it was one of his quotes. That topic is very appropriate for the presentation of flowers and plants in a surprising way. The floral designers of the Wunderkammer, Florian Seyd and Ueli Signer have designed a floral experience, in which the visitors are led through the hall while passing numerous objects which has relevance with paradise, each in their own way. The Floral Agency is in charge of the project management and the integration of third parties who will exhibit in the hall: the growers association ZVG, the IGA, Weinwerk, KleinGärtner, Gartenflora and the Friedhofgärtner.
International Green Week
The international exposition has been established in 1926, so the International Green Week is taking place for the 82nd time in 2017. The IGW is a one-of-a-kind international exhibition for the food, agricultural and horticultural industries. At the same time, the IGW is the point of origin for the Global Forum for Food and Agriculture (GFFA) with more than 60 departmental ministers. Producers from all over the world come to IGW to test market food and luxury items and reinforce their brand image. Following consumer trends, regional sourcing plays an increasingly important role. Renewable resources, organic agricultural, rural development and gardening continue to gain importance at International Green Week.
