Lucas Vos proposes sustainability as an important topic for 2017. He is referring to three different levels of sustainability:

Within Royal FloraHolland
Flowers and plants produced without damaging nature
Making the entire horticultural sector more sustainable

Royal FloraHolland 2020
'Flowering the World Together, Planting Seeds of Opportunity for our Members'. This motto of the Royal FloraHolland cooperative reflects its vision for the horticultural sector in 2020. Two main aims will have been achieved by 2020: better margins for members and their buyers, and more consumers spending more on flowers and plants.
