Emirates SkyCargo, the freight division of Emirates, has received the Logistics Quality Award at the 18th edition of the El Vigía Awards, a prestigious Spanish logistics weekly. The carrier was recognised for its increased activity from main Spanish airports and for the quality of its air cargo management.
Emirates SkyCargo is the largest international airline cargo operator with a fleet of over 250 wide bodied aircraft, including 15 dedicated freighters- 13 Boeing 777-Fs and two B747-400ERFs. The carrier connects cargo customers in 154 destinations across 83 countries in six continents through its hub in Dubai.
In 2015, Emirates SkyCargo transported more than 70,000 tonnes of cargo to and from the key Spanish cities of Madrid, Barcelona and Zaragoza on over 3,400 flights. Popular cargo, such as, clothing, live animals, works of art, temperature-sensitive products and vehicles are exported to main export markets, including the United Arab Emirates, Australia, Mexico, China, and India.
