A lot of hard work has been going on over the past few weeks on the building site at Verlengde Lageweg, The Netherlands. The first concrete has been poured and the first trusses installed for a part of the production hall, with the first roof segment already visible as well.
First trusses erected at Verlengde Lageweg in Hoorn
The first trusses have been visible for two weeks now. This framework gives a fairly good idea of what the building is going to look like when it’s complete. It is expected that the rest of the framework will be ready sometime next week, after which the concrete hollow-core slabs of the storeys will be installed.
Loading dock for new Bercomex premises
The construction of the new business premises also heralds a significant improvement in logistics flows. Much effort is currently being put in on the building site to realise a new loading dock, for which the concrete has already been poured. Thanks to this new loading dock, Bercomex will be able to process both inbound and outbound goods more easily.
Bercomex will be relocating in early 2017
Bercomex expects to relocate to the new premises in early 2017. The new Bercomex building at Verlengde Lageweg is situated within a stone's throw of their current premises in Hoorn. The new production hall will consist, among other things, of highly sophisticated facilities for the development of innovative systems for flower processing.
