Trendsetting
Van der Spek has sought a collaboration between his nursery Spekflowers and the Oosterzon nursery and J. van Adrichem. "With the three of us we are stronger than we are on our own. With Oosterzon we jointly provide the complete range of cut anthuriums. The experience of these three nurseries provides a stable foundation." The colourful cut anthuriums from Preferred Supplier Anthogether offer many benefits. Not only do they have a very long vase life, which makes them very suitable for bouquets, arrangements and atmosphere pieces, but the range is also extensive with many colours on offer. “This allows a florist to respond to trends whilst still enjoying the guarantee offered by these high quality anthuriums.”
Contributing
FleuraMetz buyer Ruud Duivenvoorden nods. “The range really is one of the biggest benefits. I have over 40 varieties to choose from in one place.” The quality, logistics and communication remain the same. There is also the opportunity to discuss what is suitable for which target group. Van der Spek: “We like to contribute: is the packaging right like this, and the quantities? Should it be transported in a different way?”
Online sales
FleuraMetz serves many different customer groups such as florists, wholesalers and garden centres. The wide-ranging uses mean that cut anthuriums are of interest to all of them. As the market is increasingly shifting from off-line to online sales, it’s very important that a range is available reliably and continuously. Duivenvoorden: “Anthogether is a good partner in that regard. Together we are developing an efficient way of offering the customer the best possible service.”
Sustainable
That goes beyond just the cut anthuriums themselves. Van der Spek: “Did you know that we have a sleeve made out of recycled material? We also use residual heat and biological pesticides and monitor our waste stream. We don’t just want to sell a good and strong product, but also one that is grown with care and awareness. Our new website will be online soon, where you can read lots more information!”
