NL: Pina Colada provides cooling this summer

Summer temperatures ask for cooling and therefore breeder Dümmen Orange is on the move with an ice cream cart. Last Tuesday, several trading companies at the Dutch Aalsmeer auction were pleasantly surprised with a refreshing visit of the Pina Colada – ice cream cart.

"The pure-white chrysanthemum, Pina Colada, retains its fresh-green small heart even in summery temperatures, and that should be shown," according to breeder Dümmen Orange. Each trading company received a bunch of Pina Colada, so they could test it for themselves.

"In collaboration with master ice cream maker Luciano's, we now really have given the trade a taste of Pina Colada," said a tropically-dressed Rick Minck, Category manager Dummen Orange. "And the summer is not at all over yet! Another three more times this summer, the trade will be surprised with Pina Colada and not only at auction Aalsmeer. Also Naaldwijk and Rijnsburg will be cooled," Jim Koop, product manager cut chrysanthemum continues.
